Farmina Vet Life Cardiac is a dietetic and complete feed for adult dogs, indicated for the support of cardiac function in cases of chronic cardiac insufficiency. This diet has low concentration of sodium and enhanced K/Na ratio.
COMPOSITION
Spelt, oats, dehydrated chicken meat, animal fats, fish oil, linseed, corn gluten, hydrolysed animal proteins, dehydrated whole eggs, dehydrated fish, pea fibre, dried beetroot pulp, potassium chloride, calcium carbonate, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), mannose-based oligosaccharides extract from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, monodicalcium phosphate, dried brewer’s yeast, green tea extracts (poliphenols source), Marigold extract (source of lutein).
MODE OF ACTION
The modified Cl/K/Na ratio attempts to compensate for the imbalance of electrolytes due to cardiomyopathy and/or pharmacological treatment. The integration of taurine helps regulate the functionality of the myocardium and is involved in regulating cellular ionic exchange. The addition of L-carnitine is known to influence lipid metabolism and the availability of energy. During the initial phases of the pathology it is possible to modulate the portion to promote a reduction of body weight, while in advanced phases the high biological value of the protein and the high digestibility of the diet may help to prevent cardiac cachexia.
