DIABETIC CANINE
Recomended for the management of diabetes mellitus in adult dogs. Farmina Vet Life Diabetic is a complete food for adult dogs formulated to control post-prandial blood glucose levels. It is particularly indicated in type 2 diabetes, coadjuvant to insulinic therapy in diabetes mellitus type 1 and useful in reduction of body weight.
COMPOSITION
Dehydrated chicken meat, spelt, hydrolysed animal proteins, dehydrated whole eggs, oats, dried beetroot pulp (desaccharified), pea fiber, dehydrated fish meat, animal fat, linseed, fish oil, fructooligosaccharides, mannanoligosaccharides, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, mono-dicalcium phosphate, psyllium, glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, Marigold extract (source of lutein). Carbohydrate source: oats, spelt.
MODE OF ACTION
Farmina Vet Life Diabetic is a food with reduced content of hyperglycaemic carbohydrates. Higher content of dietary (soluble) fibre modulates the release of nutrients in the digestive tract. Higher content of insoluble fibre helps to induce a sense of satiety, limiting the voluntary ingestion of food. The high quality of raw material helps the nutritional recovery in debilitated subjects. The low energetic density, the high content of protein and fibre makes the food suitable for the control of obesity in young dogs.
